What our staff and friends say:
The Rainbow salad is amazing – fresh and tasty!
The Acai Protein Bowl is a great healthy dessert, perfect if you’re working out and on a diet!
Mediterranean Falafel Bowl is a place special – famous around and for a reason!
There’s a running joke around the Internet – “Have you went somewhere for the holidays? Yes, I went from L to XL”. The Christmas / New Year holidays are a time for gathering with friends and family. And those gatherings go with a lot of food, drinks, and snacks. That is why one of the first things that we promise in the “New Year – New Me” routine is usually working out and eating healthy.
Pure Ktchn is your place if you’ve set those goals. Its amazing location near three subway stations – 50th Street, 50th Street, and Broadway and 49th Street, on an intersection of 9th Avenue, Pure Kitchen is an easy location if you’re out to see some shows (The Gershwin and Broadway Theatre are near if you want to see “Wicked!” and “West Side Story”, as well as many more with BroadwayPass.
Pure Ktchn has specialized in healthy and vegan cuisine. Their salads are probably their best, along with the superfood bowls. The salads include their own takes on popular dishes like Caesar salad (with coconut bacon and chickpea croutons) and common ingredients include kale, avocado, and lentils. The superfood bowls include a lot of our favorite acai combined with fruits from all over the world. They are a great alternative to all the sugary desserts that we want to exclude from our menu after the holidays. You can top all of this with almond milk, maple syrup, and coconut cream.
Another offer worth mentioning are the Warm Bowls. The Mediterranean Falafel Bowl is swiftly gaining popularity around Times Square due to its health benefits and diverse tastes. Yet, the Quinoa Egg Bowl, the Pesto Bowl and, in fact, all of the rest, are not to be underestimated.
Their fast food is pretty good, too. Pure Kitchen’s motto on the burgers is “Burgers don’t have to be unhealthy!”. Again, they have their own vegan takes on popular dishes. You can find things like cauliflower steak, portobello “bacon” and carrot bacon. Another cool addition are the Tartines. They resemble sandwiches (but healthy ones) with guac and hummus. If you’re there to accompany your vegan friend, you can have some tartines with shrimp, tuna or egg spread.
Superfoods are all over the place. You can find them even in the drinks! And goji berry, hempseed, blue majic (more on it – later), and all of it – topped with almond milk. Tasty and healthy!
Pure Ktchn started out as an idea for a blog. Then, in 2016, the owners decided that the best way to teach people on healthy cuisine is to give them a taste of it. They say “Nothing fried, no added sugars, no soy, no chemicals, just 100% pure and organic ingredients from Mother Earth”.
A cool feature on Pure Ktchn’s website is the “Superfoods” section. There you can find a lot of info on some of their superfoods they use in their dishes. Read more about Goji berry, Maca and the magic of the Blue Majik.
Take some after-Christmas relief to your health with Pure Ktchn and to your soul with BroadwayPass.
