What our friends and staff say?
A great place to get a drink after a show on the nearby theatres.
I seriously can’t get it how they managed to place so many TVs in one place!
Their Tennessees are amazing. A touch of the South in the North.
We in BroadwayPass are huge sports fans! And when we can’t support our favorite teams’ live we love to go to some cool sports bars. Like Printer’s Alley. It is very close to our offices, as well as to most of the major Broadway theatres. So, if you want to see a great game, and a great show before/after like “Aladdin”, “Mrs. Doubtfire”, “The Lehman Trilogy” and many more!
Printer’s Alley is on a communicative spot on W 40th Street, near 7th Avenue, and very close to the 42nd Street Subway. They offer two floors with multiple spaces that can host you and your company. Adding the twenty TVs to the picture and you get a place where you can see ANY game from ANY point in the world.
The working hours of Printer’s Alley are amazing. They work until 4AM Monday – Saturday, which makes the place an attraction center for Broadway’s nightlife. It is great for pre- and after-show dinners and drinks. And the menu’s worth it. It’s more like “pub food”, more traditional and great in quality. The list includes good starters (like Pigs in blanket, and popcorn chicken), superb sliders and tacos with beef, chicken, and pork. You can get a plate – burger, beyond burger, and pulled pork. The sides include tater tots, sweet potato fries, etc. They offer some great vegetarian specials as well. Like great Hummus, Buffalo Cauliflower, Kale & Roasted Cauliflower Salad, and Avocado Toast.
The drinks list is even longer. The beer has the best from the USA and Europe – Heineken, Guinness, Brooklyn Lager, Wolfer Rose Cider, Kona Big Wave. And they come on tap, in bottles, and cans. They offer cocktails, too. Whistling Dixie, Old Fashioned, more traditional stuff like Margarita, and Martini.
Printer’s Alley has special Sports offers. The Game Day special includes domestic, and craft and import pitchers, amazing Jameson & Jack fire shots, and half off wings. The Tennessee specials are by far more. You can pick from Coors Light & Printers Alley lager pitchers, and Blue Moon, New Belgium Fat Tire, Captain Lawrence from the beers, Jack Daniels, Jameson, Jack Fire, & Jack Honey Shots for the whiskey shots. The snacks include nachos, spinach dips, chips and guac, salads, sliders, and a lot more.
The Happy Hour includes some cool daily specials, like Jameson pickleback shot, Frose & Frozen margaritas.
Printer’s Alley is an actual alley down in Nashville, Tennessee. It is the party center of Music City, USA, and has been the one since the 40s. It got its name by the publishing industry that flourished there in the 1920s. It was a popular destination back in the 19th Century when most of the gambling clubs were situated there. It also “homed” most of the speakeasies during the Prohibition.
So, if you’ve got your BroadwayPass tickets, and you’re up for some drinks and pre/after show dinner with a pinch of South, then you must visit Printer’s Alley.
