Buena Vista Restaurant & Bar

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. That is why we have decided to give you, the friends of BroadwayPass, some inside info on some of the best romantic place that we enjoy visiting with our significant others.

What our friends and staff say:

Gorgeous place, great for a romantic evening on Valentine’s Day.

Superb red wine (what is a romantic night out without it???). You can combine it with some romantic Broadway shows.

The first time I came because of the skirt steak. The second time I came for the skirt steak again. And the third, and the fourth, and soooo ooon.

Buena Vista Restaurant & Bar is a cozy, comfortable place, located at 9th Avenue. It is at a short walk away from most of the major theatres. So, if you’re up for a love story then you can see “Dear Evan Hansen”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Hadestown” or “Moulin Rouge!”, then I highly recommend this place.

As you may suggest, Buena Vista Restaurant & Bar offers Latin American food, but they successfully divers it with modern European and amazing seafood, thus making the menu a very, very long.

Although the dinner and brunch menus are excellent, the highlight is the dinner menu. It is tasty, classy and perfect for a classy Valentine’s dinner. You can start with some  Chilean seabass ceviche or Cured wild salmon in dill herbs. If you’re up for some salad or soup you can go with Green avocado salad, Creamy lobster stew soup or Soup of the day. Your main course depends entirely on your taste. If you pick seafood, then you can never go wrong with the Seared filet of Chilean seabass. If poultry is your thing then go for Chicken breast filled with shrimp or Pan-seared duck magret over sweet plantain. The Meats list contains several amazing offers like the Iberian pork chop, oxtail with black beer ajus, and the famous Argentine skirt steak. The Celestial flavors (desserts) are top-notch. Most of them are composed of fresh fruit so you won’t be hurting your diet much.

Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula are a trending destination for sommeliers and regular wine lovers from all over the world. The warm climate allows the production of some of the finest wines around. You can pick sparkling wines from Spain, white wines from Sonoma County, Italy, Australia, Rose from Spain and the US, dessert wines from the Caribbean, Italy and Portugal, and of course the standard red wines. You can pick red wine from three continents, and if you truly want to make an impression the choose Numanthia Termanthia – Tempranillo ’13 or Opus One – Bordeaux Blend ’14. And trust me, it’s not just because of the price (it is worth it!).

The main goal of the owners is to provide class, hospitality and a great gastronomic trip to their customers with rich flavors from the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico, and Southern Europe. What a better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than a trip to the exotic tropical lands and a romantic voyage on Broadway?
