Buena Vista Restaurant & Bar is a cozy, comfortable place, located at 9th Avenue. It is at a short walk away from most of the major theatres. So, if you’re up for a love story then you can see “Dear Evan Hansen”, “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Hadestown” or “Moulin Rouge!”, then I highly recommend this place.
With Valentine’s day around the corner, we decided to give the biggest, most romantic, and most thrilling stories in the spotlight. Love, lies, jealousy, cheating, people resorting to murder, violence, murder, and even magic…you name it. It’s on Broadway.
Every story has its knight in shiny armor. The prince that slays the dragon, and saves the princess, rushes the bad guy and gets the fair lady from the train tracks, the one that saves the day! Raoul saves Christine, Hamilton gets all the fame and power, people all over Oz love Glinda, Simba becomes king, Cady dates Aaron. The list goes on. We understand them and we love them, but what about the bad guys? Regina? Scar? Jafar? Aaron Burr? The Wizard? The General from “The Book of Mormon”? It is not uncommon to sympathize with some of them, and quite often to even love them.
The Elgin is a fine gastropub located at just 3 minutes from Theater District and Radio City Music Hall, so you can see nearly all of Broadway’s finest – “Tina”, “Jagged Little Pill”, “Hamilton”, “Phantom of the Opera”, as well as “Riverdance” in March.
The owners of Nolita Pizza take a lot of pride in the unique culinary experience that their restaurant provides. They use the finest ingredients, such as imported cold-pressed virgin oil, homemade marinara sauce, and the finest quality aged mozzarella, but their favorite one is Love.
China Xiang is situated just a few blocks from most of the major theatres. Placed on 42nd Street and 9th Avenue, it takes just around 10 minutes walking to Lunt-Fontanne (the furthest of them all).
Zest Szechuan is a standout of Chinese cuisine in their area. It is situated on a 12-15 minutes walk from Theatre District. The closest is the Stephen Sondheim and Town Hall where you can see “Mrs. Doubtfire” and Bitch Sesh.
Red Peony is a rather new, and very classy Chinese restaurant. Located at a 10-minute walk from Theatre District, it is a great option if you’re visiting the New York City where you can see Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake, or Radio City Music Hall to see Dancing with the Stars or Riverdance
The Irish say – “If you’re lucky enough to be Irish then you’re lucky enough”. Well, visiting Playwright Celtic Pub is considered equally big luck. With its location on 8th Avenue, it is easily accessible by the nearby bus stops.
French cuisine and American musicals! Name a more iconic duo, we’ll wait. Jokes aside, we in BroadwayPass really love the classy French cuisine and we know that a lot of people love combining it with great Broadway shows. One of the best places around to enjoy this combo is Pergola Des Artistes.
